‘Tis the season… TO DECORATE

Christmas doesn’t just have to be about over-indulging and writing endless amounts of Christmas cards. Throw all that to one side for a moment, and turn your home into a cosy bubble of festivity!  Then you can down, over-indulge and dig into the tin of Quality Street.

We’ve put together a few things to make a little festive scene for you (above) and it’s getting us excited for Christmas! First up, what kind of festive scene would this be if there wasn’t a single candle in sight? There’s something so calming and cosy about a candle burning away in the corner, and even better if it’s a strongly scented one too. We’ve opted for the White Tea & Ginger candle to get us thinking of all those gingerbread houses waiting to be made. A candle is also a perfect way to create some soft atmospheric lighting, that’s not too harsh or bright.

We’ve then accessorised and given our candles a touch of glamour, by placing them in our pine cone candle holder. Nothing says Autumn and Winter like pine cones on the fireplace. And then to compliment that lovely piece, we’ve added our pine cone bookends to keep all our Christmas reading together. Who doesn’t love matching items to complete a design? Why not add a bit of tinsel or ribbon around your candles and accessories to give it that extra Chistmas-sy feel. We also think this silver hammered bowl (below) is a great piece to store some of those pine cones… or Quality Street.

THE SOLEIL OAK SIDE TABLE WITH TRAY

November has us getting all excited about our unique side table. This is our striking cross legged lamp table in a weathered oak finish. With a simple single removable tray, this piece of furniture is functional and fashionable all at the same time.  It’s perfect for using as a tray to carry in some tea and snacks or as a storage space for any array of bits and bobs (below).

We also think it would work well as a lower bedside table. There’s no excuse not to have breakfast in bed, when you’ve got a ready made tray next to you! This piece is great quality and has some lovely oak detailing so it’ll stand out (in the right way!) wherever you choose to put it. The legs are also fixed in place so it’s very sturdy.
